Kitchen Remodel – Week 1

November 1, 2009 § 6 Comments

I’ve been thinking about how best to post updates on the kitchen remodel. The format I’ve decided is to do a weekly progress report and end with the meals we ate during that week.

Before

After

The construction guys did a great job with the roof line. Unless you knew what used to be there, you’d never know. The stucco in the “After” picture is still wet. Hopefully once dried, it will be very close to the old stucco color. If not, we’re most likely have them fog coat the stucco to get uniformity.

Also, the new kitchen windows and sliding glass door are in. Love the new windows, especially the 2 casements. Everything has been packed and moved to other parts of the house.

Meals for the week:

  • Take-out from AmerAsian Cuisine
  • Steaks on the grill with frozen zesty fries
  • Frozen dinners (Boston Market, Lean Cuisine)
  • Homemade tacos
  • Linguine and bolognese sauce
